Auraculous Gogh

Contrast was the defining theme of the creation process of this piece. I wanted to convey a monochrome experience as well as an extremely colourful one, using Van Gogh’s paintings as the primary colourful material. Sound against silence, black & white against colour. Silence breaks apart the musical flow, rendering the sustained chords utterly alone and making us question the relationships between one another. Memories of past events are hard to hold onto, for their similarities and polarities are blurred by space and time.
